Welcome to Dream Home 9 – Mariote Coastal Haven. When Sarah picked up this property in 2022, she knew it was destined for a knockdown rebuild. Sarah and her husband designed the custom Mariote 45 with Better Built Homes to make the most of natural light—hence the pool’s spot in the side yard!
After chatting with our local agent McGrath Toukley, we also added in those buyer “wow” features, like rear yard access for a boat or caravan.

We chose a neutral palette to reflect the natural beauty around Mariote Coastal Haven, pairing high-end finishes with a relaxed, coastal style.
When it came to the façade, we were torn between a minimalist Palm Springs look and a classic modern coastal design—and even asked our audience to help us decide! With a nearly even vote, we went with modern coastal to suit the area and bring out that laid-back, beachside feel.
